Warum gebe ich gern Unterricht:
during the course of getting my Ph.D., once again I took part in a student "Erasmus" exchange program for one year at the Philipps-University Marburg in Germany. As soon as I finished my exchange, I was working during the summer as a trainee at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich.
The opportunity to stay abroad for a longer time gave me also a big chance to understand better different cultures, even these ones, that have totally different cultural habits than my own, and to become familiarized with many different cultural elements; the acquaintance with many foreigners from many different countries, speaking different languages, was for me also a great possibility to learn, how to respect better the other people, above all the differences between all of us, and how to remain open-minded with the customs and way of life of the others. For me it was not only a challenge to my own way of life, which surely has changed, but also a big opportunity to improve, by talking with colleagues from the other countries, my English and German language skills and now I am able to speak these languages at a level, that allows me to communicate effectively and freely with the foreigners.
Not to be overlooked, I have gained more than two years of experience as a Latin teacher, teaching Latin classes and ancient culture at different faculties, at the Faculty of Polish, Croatian and Slavonic Philology and especially at the Faculty of Theology at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poland. Moreover, by one year experience of teaching ancient Greek language, I could develop my skills as a teacher and then, by gaining the experience as the teacher of ancient culture at the Faculty of German Philology, I have become thoroughly familiar with pillars on which today’s Europe rests.
